Self-Care in November


Self-care is something that is constantly on my mind. I don't always take care of myself like I should but I do my best to focus on it and take notice of when I'm not feeling my best. In a world where everyone is constantly on the go, overloading their schedules and burning the candle at both ends....self-care in a persons life, is even more crucial. Now I don't necessarily mean painting your nails and putting a mask on your face....I mean in all aspects of your wellbeing. Here are some ideas on how you can put more focus on yourself.

~ Schedule a day for nothingness

~ Clean (that makes me feel good!)

~ Call a friend (I can always rely on my dear friend Ashley for this!)

~ Try a breathing exercise

~ Drink an extra glass or two of water

~ Take a nap

~ Wear your favourite outfit

~ Watch your favourite childhood movie

~ Notice a good feeling when it comes about

~ Take a social media break/digital detox for the day

~ Remind yourself of your passion

~ Acknowledge triggers

~ Change your bed sheets

~ Honour your feelings today

~ Bake something new

~ Turn off your phone before bed

~ Schedule an earlier bedtime

~ Find some stillness

~ Smile at someone you pass in public

~ Get yourself a treat (mmm....ice cream)

~ Do something crafty (Exactly why I do the little projects that I do!)

~ Go outside

~ Reach out to your community

~ Stretch or practice yoga

~ Practice positive self-talk

~ Dance to your favourite song (I admit that I do this at home sometimes....)

~ Make yourself a drink

~ Say 'NO' sometimes
