
The Journey through my Personal Awareness and Self-Discovery
What is it that fuels your inner fire? What ignites your soul? For me, it's my constant quest and burning desire to dig deep into the depths of myself to find unwavering happiness and true contentment in life. Honestly...I want to continually better myself. I fear the idea of staying stuck in a place where I'm not happy or satisfied and just wasting my life away.

My journey began in September of 2016. I was in a very unhappy place in my life and knew that I needed a change. I started taking yoga classes. Sometimes twice a day. I spent a lot of time by myself and worked into the uncomfortable corners of my life. I still dig into those places sometimes. My journey of self-realization has been terribly lonely, full of indescribable joy, completely terrifying and incredibly exciting. I've pushed myself out of my comfort zone, cheered myself on when nobody else did and discovered a strength about myself that I never really knew existed.
Through this journey, I not only looked at myself and my own self-sabotaging habits, but those of other people. I've noticed that society has become so off-balance that people don't genuinely know who they are. There is much negativity and misery in so many people's lives it seems. Many are dwelling on the past or worrying about the future. It is difficult for people to remain mindful and live in the present moment. I have learned through this adventure, that it is only through consistent effort, perseverance and a open mind, that change can take place, barriers can be broken and true happiness can emerge.
Through this blog, I've decided to share my journey into personal health and wellbeing thus far. From recipes to my own personal take on mindfulness and mindset, I love to be able to help others change their way of thinking, and therefore their lives.
