Let's talk snacking for a minute. I have a weakness for chips. Not just any chips....plain ruffled chips. I rarely buy them as I know I have a hard time denying myself the guilty pleasure of eating them.
But....I also want to keep my calorie count down and my intake of nutritious food up. The best way to avoid snacking on unhealthy food is to make healthy food accessible and readily available!
Take a bit of time on a Sunday evening to prep your snacks for the work/school week. Slice up some apples, pears, melon or strawberries. Wash some grapes, blueberries or cherries and place everything in reusable containers in the fridge (making sure you dry them off first). Cut up some celery stalks, carrot sticks, red/green pepper or wash some grape tomatoes and place them in reusable containers as well.
When they're already prepped and ready to go, you're more apt to grab them than you would if you had to cut them up each time you wanted a snack!
Love your body enough to make good healthy choices!
