Try this as part of your daily wake up routine!
When you open your eyes, instead of thinking about how you would rather stay under the warm covers than get up.....think about 3 things that you are grateful for. Perhaps that you have a job to get out of bed and go to? The attitude of gratitude is a seriously powerful thing.
There is a quote that I adore and think about often;
'When you love what you have, you have everything that you need.'
How wonderfully true is this??

Here are some secrets to living a happier life:
1) Keep a gratitude journal
Write down things that you are happy and grateful for in your life.
2) Practice present moment awareness
Get into the habit of living in the present moment, not dwelling about the past or wishing for something in the future. Just being grateful for what you have now.
3) Think of things bigger than yourself
Look to help or serve others. Become more selfless and strive to cultivate a deeper appreciation for what you have in your life. Perhaps becoming involved in a cause that is important to you?
4) Share the love
Let others know that you love them, appreciate them and everything that they do for you. Focus on the positive and it will make them want to keep doing it!
5) Replace complaints with gratitude
Focus on what you are thankful for instead of what you are lacking. What are you grateful for today?
